So here it comes – there is NO Volcanic dust cloud. There is another reason why Europe’s aircraft are being grounded:

Conspiracy details:

1. Iceland, being, as far as I know, the most volcanically active country on the Earth, spews forth a mighty dust cloud. Why now? Surely this should be a common occurrence?
2. The dust cloud we’ve been told is not “visible”. The reason the met office gives? It’s hard to detect because of high level cloud, so satellite imagery can’t pick it up. Also, because of low level cloud, the cloud can’t be seen from the ground. Last night, it was completely clear – nothing in the sky but bright stars.
3. “Reports” of dust landing in the Northern Scotland and a funny taste in the air – but again, we have no proof of this and not 1 person with a camera phone has taken a picture of this dust.
4. We have limited TV footage of the volcanic eruption. It’s all the same shots, and the same angles. Surely there must be something new to show? And there was a shot of a car in a dust cloud. Easily staged, and the only “evidence” of dust.
5. The various news channels report that all airports will be closed – apart from in “emergencies”. Later on in the day, we’re told that Air Ambulances across the south are grounded. Does this answer any questions people might have about military aircraft they see flying around at this time? Thinking the reason they’re in the sky is for emergency reasons?
6. Like clockwork, all of the airports shut down – starting in the North of the UK, working South. Surely if they can’t track the cloud, as they say, they should shut them all down at the same time? How can they be absolutely sure that by closing down Edinburgh airport, but leaving Manchester open, a relatively small distance away, they’re not putting lives at risk? The reason, to orchestrate the shutting down of the airports to make it “appear” that a cloud is moving in over time.
7. The Met Office put together a rough animation of where the cloud is extending. Some could say, if planning were used then the animation would look flashier somehow. However, what if you wanted the public to believe it were rushed, to show the “lack of information” they had on the dust cloud?
8. If you look on the Met Office website now, you can see an animation of the “Cloud” making its was to Northern Europe. A very basic animation that can easily be faked.

So what could be going on?

Well there could be many reasons why you need to ground Northern Europe’s aircraft within a few hours. It could be aliens, it could be nuclear weapons, it could be terrorism! I guess we just won’t know… Oh yeah, it could be a volcanic dust cloud too I guess….

Just bare this in mind though: The first stages of war against another country – secure communications, and secure the movement of people.

Well, there have been lots of aircraft taking off from my local airport, Southampton – even though NATS have closed all airports – odd.

Also I listened in on ATC traffic this morning. Someone asked ATC “Seen any dust clouds about ha ha!” and they both laughed together! It seems they may know a little more about this “volcanic grounding” than they’re letting on too..

UPDATE: 18/04

Airports still closed, but still huge amounts of ATC traffic over the South. Mainly private aircraft.

Terrorism threat level raised to “Severe” for the UK, only 1 level below a confirmed terrorist attack. US Threat level also “Elevated” with the US Aircarft threat level at “High”. Coincidence?

British Airways and other operators conducting “Test Flights”. Basically to show the world that this is ridiculous - the advice is complete rubbish. Aircraft can fly without problems in this “cloud”.

UPDATE: 19/04

Test flights concluding “no damage” to aircraft.

UK’s emergency commitee, Cobra, advise the public the Navy to rescue Briton’s trapped in Europe. As they were on manoeuvres in the Med, it’s no surprise really that they can be used – however, this shows that the government thinks aircraft being grounded will be a long term issue.

European council meeting to take place later today to discuss validity of air ban. I’m thinking, as has been mentioned in the comments, that things will gradually get back to normal now.

The ultimate reason for the grounding of commercial aircraft will probably never be known.

Air industry in serious financial problems after the government decided to ground all flights.

Met office being blamed for a modelling disaster that lead to the closure of British & European airspace.

Restrictions lifted for FL200 and above – Lufthansa one of the first to resume transatlantic flights across UK airspace.

As predicted, service gradually being returned to normal, after the burial of the Polish president. You can’t however just lift the ban overnight – so a gradual “phasing in” of flights is under way at the moment – even though the ash cloud is reportedly worse than ever. More news from NATS at 3pm.

Another change, which must be a temporary problem, is bit.ly or j.mp are not tracking clicks. But also, interestingly, you can log onto j.mp with your bit.ly details and still see your link history. I guess it’s going to be j.mp then!

Apparently the BBC are voicing that as this was not done with "criminal intent" it’s not illegal – and that no personal information was obtained from the slave machines.

I’m a little shocked, I must admit. When has a TV corporation had the power to take it on themselves to hack thousands of computers and then in the same breath say it’s not illegal? Just the mere fact that the BBC took control, means they have broken the law. They have unlawfully obtained use of equipment that they didn’t pay for, don’t pay the electricity bill for & don’t pay the user’s ISP for use of the bandwidth. Stealing, as far as I have been aware has always been a criminal activity – and it doesn’t matter if you dress this with "criminal intent" or not. And if it’s not stealing, then it’s a breach of privacy in the most basic form – you have the right to use your own property without interference from anyone else.

So what happens next? I think if you were one of the 22,000 users that had their PCs hijacked – maybe you should send a letter to your local MP, or perhaps contact the Electronic Frontier Foundation. I know that’s the route I would be taking. Read the BBC article here.
