The problem, as you've found out, is that the support staff have minimal training, and aren't allowed to think for themselves. If it aint on the list, they can't help you.

Support is always secondary to EA - once they've got your cash that's the end of the relationship.

i am having a problem with support too
i downloaded red alert 3 uprising from the store (which is the only way to get it) and when i tried to install it i got an error message saying the file was corrupt. i thought i might have just lost internet connection during the download and tried it again. i got the same message. At this point, i emailed the support staff and stated my problem. they said they needed the directx diagnostic information which i gave to them. I then got an email 2 days later saying it was proabably a problem with my internet. i already knew that and they gave me a link to a support page that talked about a completely different problem. i emailed them back and i got a similar page that had absolutely nothing to do with my problem. I had read that they only give refunds through the ea store in certain circumstances. i sent an email asking if this was one of the circumstances and if so, could i get a refund. The response i got was instructions on how to manually install a disc based game. EA support never gives a straight answer, and i would reccomend avoiding downloading games through the EA download manager as many times as possible
