windows vista easter egg found

June 29, 2007

You know the sort of thing – little games or text messages hidden within software that isn’t available without some sort of weird key-combination. However, they are not always only found in software. This one has been found on the Vista DVD by a bunch of people with nothing better to do than to examine [...]

the future of exercise in 1982

June 25, 2007

I discovered this article on Boing Boing just now.. Look at this crazy piece of technology from yesteryear. To think in days gone by that companies actually thought there was a market for this stuff – although at the time I’m sure it was all too easy to get caught up in the hysteria of [...]

thin client pc that fits into the wall

June 19, 2007

June 11, 2007

I was browsing through some of the excellent wallpaper for linux tonight on GNOME-Look.org when I realised there weren’t that many widescreen Ubuntu ones. I decided to create some and post them to the site for other users that are having the same problem.. Follow the link to see the wallpaper I’ve uploaded, but don’t [...]

microsoft surface

June 8, 2007

This technology has apparently been around since the 1980′s. It’s only now though that we’re going to start to see this being used in commercial systems by the end of this year! Ambitious? Perhaps, but one thing is for sure – it won’t be too soon! (I can’t wait to get my hands on this [...]

From the steampunk workshop comes this neat mod to a standard Dell LCD screen. With a bit of artistic flair, the monitor is transformed into something you might see in Thief. Also have a look at the guys keyboard too. [SHOW ME]

oil cooled PC

June 1, 2007

Because oil can’t conduct electricity, the theory goes you can submerge electrical appliances in it and they’ll still work. That’s the theory, now check out the practice (I think upgrades might be a bit messy though.!)
