Has your PC ever died? Have you ever been right in the middle of something, that is really important (which is always the way, according to what is known as “sod’s law”) when it goes? This guide/article is really interesting and not only details the top reasons for PCs giving up the ghost, but also has some pretty good no-nonsense preventions too.

I think that when most people’s PCs die they just stop working (BSD or series of POST beep codes or something equally annoying.) However it is quite funny when you hear some of the stories that readers have sent in in this article.. The idea of a virtual rocket launcher in half life taking out somebody’s PSU is my favourite =)
